THE COLOURS OF LIZARDS LIVING IN THE GREEK ISLANDS

This project was led by Dr. Kate Marshall and conducted as part of her PhD at the University of Cambridge, UK. I joined the field project as a research assistant.

For this study, we spent several months cruising around islands in Greece - large and small, and even a volcanic island. Our main goal was to test whether individual Aegean wall lizards (Podarcis erhardii) are better camouflaged against their specific island backgrounds,as analysed through the visual perspective of avian predators (read publication).​
