The Behaviour23 is an international conference for outstanding research in the field of animal behaviour. Bielefeld hosted the International Ethological Congress, as it was known back then, once before in 1977, and we are thrilled to have made 2023 an equally exciting and stimulating event. It took place between 14th and 20th of August 2023 and, by the high-quality and diversity of our plenary speakers and symposia, it was clear from the beginning that it would be a vibrating and inspiring event. But it exceeded our expectations. The conference featured inspirational keynote speakers, symposia, workshops, oral themed sessions, poster sessions, and social activities, providing over 800 participants with a variety of networking opportunities. Thanks to all who joined us and made this an unforgettable conference.
